DATE : SATURDAY, MAY 10TH
LOCATION : NEAR YORK AND THEN LEEDS
 
An action packed day with an early start of 5.15am for the cuckoos at problaby the best cuckoo hide in the country on the outsirts of York. We take a short drive to our location and walk through the reedbeds to the pop up 2 man hides where we spend around 2 and a half hours photogrpahing these amazing birds during there brief visit to the UK before they make their way to South Africa in July. We then lake a 45 min drive to the outsirts of Leeds to the Kingfisher hide where we will spend 5 hours photographing these stuning birds as they fish from a perch near our hide. 
 
Kit requirements:
 
Camera with plenty of memory cards
Zoom lens 100 - 400mm or 150 - 600mm
A study tripped is essential.
Warm waterproof clothing as we walk through reed beds.
Wellies are recommended as it can be very wet and muddy getting to the hides.
Please bing packed lunch and drinks (no noisy food e.g. crisps)
There are no toilet facilities so it is back to nature.
